What is the internet?
A global network of networks that connects millions of devices across the world.
What is an IP address?
A unique number assigned to each device connected to the internet.
📌 IPv4: 32-bit address, e.g., 192.168.1.1
What is a domain name?
A human-readable address used to access websites, instead of IP addresses.
📌 Example: www.google.com
What is DNS (Domain Name System)?
A system that translates domain names into IP addresses so browsers can load websites.
What is an ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
A company that provides internet access and related services like email hosting, technical support, and domain registration.
What is an intranet?
A private internal network used within an organisation, often protected by firewalls and accessed via VPN.
What is an extranet?
An extension of an intranet that allows controlled access to external users (e.g. clients or partners).
