what are the steps of testing for starch

A

1) put drop of iodine into spotting tile
2) set up a bunsen burner with a water beaker
3) add amylase solution and buffer solution with ph 5 into boiling tube
4) put tube into beaker and wait for 5 mins
5) add starch solution to boiling tube
6) every 30 secs take a sample and drop into a well in spotting tile
7) when iodine solution stays brown all starch in sample has been broken down
