What is systemic vascular resistance (SVR)?
Resistance of the left side of the heart.
What is pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR)?
Resistance of the right side of the heart.
What type of blood does the right atrium contain?
Deoxygenated blood.
What is the normal CVP measurement?
Normally 0.8 mmHg.
What is preload?
Volume measured by CVP.
What separates the right atrium from the right ventricle?

What separates the left atrium from the left ventricle?
Mitral valve.
What does the left ventricle do?
Pushes blood out against resistance.
What is the strongest muscular layer of the heart?
Myocardium.
What is the resistance called when pushing against the lungs?
Pulmonary Vascular Resistance (PVR).
What is systemic vascular resistance (SVR)?
Resistance when pushing against the whole body.
Which resistance is bigger, PVR or SVR?
SVR.
