INTRO
- Jesus - believed by christians to be the son of god in the bible
- liberator because sides with poor and marginalised is trying to ave Isreal from romans and because providing breaks from social oppression

→ Cleansing of Temple – challenging religious authorities
C – N.T. Wright → his mission and teachings were usually spiritual – forgiveness etc.
E – Followers called him “Son of God” – very common during ancient time, e.g. Achilles – demi-god, for people with high authority/close to God

A – Good Samaritan, sabbath story
C – C.S. Lewis – “Son of God, or else a mad man or something worse.”
→ Son not God or much worse.
E – Clear political implications from sabbath & Good Samaritan can’t be dismissed.
