- Utilitarianism – absolutist theory focusing on creating “the greatest good for the greatest number of people.” (Principle of utility)
- Due to being too time consuming, doesn’t protect minority and pleasure doesn’t equate to goodness.

A – Act utilitarianism = Hedonic calculator
→ not usable in emergencies (Noel Stewart)
C – Bentham may argue in some situations you use moral intuition or value your own pain/suffering.
E – This defeats the purpose of using the hedonic calculator in the first place.
