AJLOUN CASTLE
Perched atop one of Amman’s seven hills, it is a testament to Jordan’s
layered history. It houses ruins from
various civilizations, including the
Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine
church, and the Umayyad Palace
complex, reflecting the city’s continuous
occupation over millennia
