  • what you have to do to grab the students interest to make them motivated to follow your lesson
  • the internal interests that lead students to want to learn and to put in the effort required for learning (the purpose of this is to gain and maintain their attention)

  • its the process of gathering info about what students have learned
  • they happen at the end but they can also happen in the middle
    1. formative evaluation: you test to see if the kids are on the right track
    2. summative evaluation: done at the end of the year to see if the goals have been met
  • the purpose is to get a diagnostic to see where everyone is and whether they shall proceed to the next level or stay back
