What are motivation activities? and what is the purpose of this?
A
- what you have to do to grab the students interest to make them motivated to follow your lesson
- the internal interests that lead students to want to learn and to put in the effort required for learning (the purpose of this is to gain and maintain their attention)

What are orientation activities? and what is the purpose?
A
- putting everything into context
- knowing where you are in terms of the intended objectives
- the purpose is to help students see where they’ve been (review), where they are now (view), and where they are going (preview)

what are information activities? what is the purpose?
A
- info is delivered in ways that are appropriate for the lesson
- there is opportunities to receive and practice newly acquired ideas
- the purpose is to help students understand and remember those new ideas

What are application activities? what is the purpose?
A
- the practice, guidance, and feedback on newly acquired skills and knowledge
- the purpose is to provide opportunities for students to use what they have learned

What are evaluation activities? what are the 2 types of evaluation? what is the purpose?
A
- its the process of gathering info about what students have learned
- they happen at the end but they can also happen in the middle
1. formative evaluation: you test to see if the kids are on the right track
2. summative evaluation: done at the end of the year to see if the goals have been met - the purpose is to get a diagnostic to see where everyone is and whether they shall proceed to the next level or stay back
