Subsistence farming
A
Where the produce of a farm is consumed by the farmer and the farmer’s family.
Mainly found in LEDC’s

A
Where the farm produce is sold for money.
Mainly found in MEDC’s, but increasingly in LEDC’s too.

Extensive farming
A
Where the farm is very large. This is usually where the land is not very productive and so large areas of land are needed to be profitable.

A
Where the farm is smaller but the land is very intensively used either in terms of investment i the farm or the numbers of people working on the land.
