What is the description for average velocity along a straight line?
Vav = V(2 or f) - V(1 or i)/ T2 - T1= ΔV / ΔT
What is the equation to find out the instantaneous value of the velocity?
It is the velocity at any one instant:
vf = vi + a.Δt = lim(->0) Δx/Δt = dx/dt
What is the average acceleration?
aav = vf - vi / t2 - t1 = Δv/Δt
What is the instantaneous acceleration?
af = lim(->0) Δv/Δt = dv/dt
What is the average displacement?
The symbols could be x, d, s etc.
xav = x2 - x1 / t2 - t1 = Δx/Δt
What is the instantaneous change in displacement?
xf = xi + vf.Δt + 1/2.a.Δt2
Other useful straightline motion with constant acceleration equations…
1) for vf2
2) x - x0
1) vf2 = vi2 + 2a(xf - xi)
2) xf - xi = (vi + vf/2).t
Straight line motion w/ varying accelerations? (Integration from a to v to x)
vf = vi + [intergal from 0 to t] a.dt
and
xf = xi + [intergal from 0 to t] v.dt
