Knee cruciate ligaments
A
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)
- runs upwards, backwards and laterally.
- creates hyper extension
Posterior cruciate ligaments (PCL)
- runs upwards, forwards and medially
- prevents hyperflextion
They work together to keep tibia and fibula stabilised
