Slip Knot
type of knot that is used to shorten a rope or take up slack. This knot is not stable. It will fall apart under too much load or too little load.

Sheepshank
it is used to adjust the height of stage curtains hanging from a bar; and in boating it can be used to initially position a fender hanging from a rail.
Clove Hitch
used for handling cargo. It is also useful when towing a spar or log either afloat or on land.
used to attach a single length of rope to a cylindrical object. Secure while tension is maintained, it is easily untied even after heavy loading
Timber Hitch
The reef knot or _ _ is an ancient and simple binding knot used to secure a rope or line around an object. Although the reef knot is often seen used for tying two ropes together, it is not recommended for this purpose due to the potential instability of the knot.
Square Knot
The structure of the bowline is identical to that of the sheet bend, except the bowline forms a loop in one rope and the sheet bend joins two ropes. Along with the sheet bend and the clove hitch, the bowline is often considered one of the most essential knots
Bowline Knot
