Lighting/Notams

25
Takeoff Alternate required when? How far?
Non-HGS, CAT 1 landing min One hour, still air, single engine (320 NM)
26
Considerations if both IRS DC FAIL light illuminate:
\* Primary power source is AC (normal ops) \* Hot batt bus not powered or batt disch \* Fire ext poss unavail. APU poss not start.
27
Where to find info on MEL process
FOM 19
28
Irregularities between GE/ROW 44 and Panasonic?
AOMs
29
MEL sticker name
SP #1B placarding
30
Where to find meaning of FMC messages?
QRH - Ops info
31
How long will IRS operate without AC power?
Right - 5 min Left - approx 30 / 60 (two batt) min or until DC power lost
32
TERPS climb requirements
Standard 200 ft/NM Nonstandard - Reference 10-9A or SID (Use first gradient above 1000 ft AGL)
33
“Look and see”
Not applicable to CAT III approaches
34
TA mode only?
QRH or SIP
35
Batt voltage range?
22-30V
36
FMC position priority?
\* GPS \* DME \* LOC & DME \* 1 LOC
37
Fuel limitations:
1. Main tanks full if center more than 1000 2. Center pumps on when more than 1000 3. Pumps off when first light illuminates 4. Deplane when less than 2000 lbs in tank 5. Personnel req’d in flight deck for pumps 6. Min -37 C; Max 49 C 7. Don’t reset fuel pump, fp control, or f quanity CB’s
38
Where to find info on fuel transfer:
AOM 16
39
Manual W&B load limitations:
Below ATOG and PTOW + 2,000
40
TR UNIT light inflight implications?
\* TRU 1 or 2&3 have failed. \* Auto features of BUS TRANSFER switch inhibitted when AFDS is in APP mode w/ GS capture \* Other approaches are fine
41
Two times when DC busses won’t have automatic backup:
1. BUS TRANSFER switch OFF 2. GS capture
42
AUTO function of STANDBY POWER switch:
Allows automatic transfer of battery power to:
43
What does the FAULT light on the Fire Control Panel indicate?
NORMAL - both loops are failed A or B - respective loop is failed
44
What is the idication that the squib has fired and the extinguishing agent has been discharged?
L or R BOTTLE DISCHARGED
45
What does this light mean? How can attitude be be restored inflight?
A system fault associated with the respective IRS has been detected. Select ATT while in level flight for approximately 30 seconds.
46
Manually selected source is not powering the associated trasfer bus.
47
Respective IDG is not powering to the transfer bus.
48
What does DSPLY SOURCE 1 and DSPLY SOURCE 2 alerts mean in the MAX or an NG equipped with U13?
DSPLY SOURCE 1 or 2 (amber)—DPC 1 has failed or DPC 2 has failed. If a DPC fails **above FL220**— * The autopilot and flight directors are not affected. If a DPC fails during climb or descent **below FL220** with the failed side autopilot engaged— * The flight director pitch command bar is removed from both Pilots’ displays. * The flight director pitch command bar reappears at ALT ACQ. * The autopilot engages in CWS P. * LVL CHG, VNAV, and V/S are not available with the failed side autopilot. If a DPC fails during level flight **below FL220** with the failed side autopilot engaged— * Climb or descent to a new altitude is only possible in CWS P. If a DPC fails in the approach mode **above 400 ft** with both flight directors on— * The flight director pitch and roll command bars are removed from the display on the failed side.
