L'impératif (les règles + irrégulier)

Question 1

The impératif only uses 3 subjects:

• Tu
  -Vous
  -Nous

But these subject pronouns are never used (just the conjugated verb).

**Note also: the “nous” version isn’t a command. It’s a suggestion. Something akin to “let’s” in English. —Let’s ____? Shall we ______?

Question 2

The conjugation of the impératif for regular verbs is the same as the présent.

With one exception:

Drop the “s” at the end of the “tu” conjugation of verbs ending in “-ER”.

Question 3

There are only 4 irregular verbs in the impératif:

Être –> Sois, soyons, soyez.
Avoir–> Aie, ayons, ayez
Savoir –> Sache, sachons, sachez
Vouloir –> Veuille, veuillons, veuillez

(Note: these are all extremely similarly, if not identical, to the relevant tu, nous, and vous forms of these verbs in the subjonctif).
