1
Q
What kind of conditioning is it where the behaviour is controlled by the stimuli?
A
Pavlovian Conditioning
- Stimulus - outcome relationship
- Eg bird sees water change so flies to beach (eventually gets reward)
2
Q
What kind of conditioning is it where behaviour is elicited voluntarily?
A
Instrumental Conditioning
- Response - outcome relationship
- Eg bird flies high, drops whelk & gets reward
3
Q
What does a “Shaping process” involve??
A
Changing animals behaviour by small amounts of reinforcement each time
4
Q
How does classical (pavlovian) conditioning work??
A
Neutral stimulus is paired with a stimulus that elicits a natural response, creating a conditioned response to the neutral stimulus
