Most intimate, inner subjective part of the self.
* This is quite difficult to discover as it is impossible for
every human being to know the real will of God (Supreme
Being).
* Seeking the meaning of life is the journey that the spiritual
self is on.
SPIRITUAL SELF
- Spiritual is defined as relating to a connection to
something bigger than ourselves (meaning of life). - A spiritual person places little importance on beliefs and
traditions and is more concerned with growing and
experiencing the Divine. - Common themes: Love, Peace, Death, Wisdom and Truth
SPIRITUALITY
Practices for Spirituality
- Meditation -* Prayer -* Yoga -* Journaling
– mental exercises (focusing on one’s breathing or repeating a mantra) to reach a heightened
level of spiritual awareness.

a spiritual communion with God (or an object of worship) as in thanksgiving, adoration, or confession.
- Prayer -
it teaches the suppression of all mind and body
activity so that the self may realize its distinction from the
material world and attain liberation.

life and feel more connected to your experience and the
world around you

RELIGION
Dimension of Religion
Belief, Ritual, Spiritual experience, Unique social forms of community –
– a generalized system of ideas and values that shape how members of a religious group come to understand the world around them.

* Part of the individual who partakes of divinity, survives

SOUL
is a life force, energy, as well as an ethereal entity,
a spirit with a will of its own that resides in the human
body and provides the essence of life – similar to the
Western concept of “soul”.
