Anatomical Position
Face Forward
Body Erect
Palms Forward
Feet Together
Superior vs Inferior
S: nearer to/towards the head
I:towards tail/hind “cranial and caudad”
Medial vs Lateral
M:towards midline
L:away from midline
Proximal vs Distal

Para: unequal left and right halves
Body Cavities: Cavity, Serous Membrane, Viscera Layer, and Parietal Layer
C: enclosed space within the body
S: protective sheet of CT that lines cavities
V: inner layer, on surface of the organ
P: outer layer, lines the body wall
Microscopy:
-Total Magnification
-UP Magnification
-TIPS
T= “ocular” “objective”
M= DOWN field of view
TIPS:
- start on 4x objective lens
slowly bring the stage up so that the objective lens doesn’t touch the side
if you need to change ,magnification “objective lens”:
- move the stage down all the way
-rotate at the nose piece
-bring stage back up slowly
