Q

When testing LE extension muscle balance what should the perceived firing pattern be?

A
  • Ipsilateral hamstring
  • Ipsilateral gluteus maximus
  • Contralateral e. spinae
  • Ipsilateral e. spinae
2
Q

When testing LE abduction muscle balance what should the perceived firing pattern be?

A
  • Ipsilateral gluteus medius
  • Ipsilateral TFL
  • Ipsilateral QL
  • Ipsilateral e. spinae
3
Q

Which muscles are facilitated and which are inhibited with a positive cervical flexion test?

A
  • Facilitated = SCM and scalenes
  • Inhibited = deep neck flexors (longus colli)
4
Q

A positive scapular stabilization test indicates weakness of which 3 muscle groups?

A
  • Lower trapezius
  • Serratus anterior
  • Rhomboids
5
Q

How to perform Pectoralis Minor Asymmetry and Passive Range of Motion Testing for Muscle Imbalance?

A
  • Pt lies supine and doc stabilizes shoulder of side not being tested
  • Doc applies a posteriorly directed force against the shoulder being testing and notes PROM and end-feel; repeat on other side
  • (+) test = diminished PROM of one side compared to the other and/or hard end-feel
6
Q

Where is the TP for the Scalenes and what is correct position for tx?

A
  • Inferior to the clavicle 1/3rd the distance from midline along the clavicle on the 1st rib and 2/3s the distance from the midline along the clavicle on the 2nd rib
  • F ST RT
7
Q

How to perform CS to Levator Scapula?

A

Monitor TP and with other hand on pt’s ipsilateral wrist the doc extends the arm and places it under traction or compression depending on which give greatest relief

8
Q

How to perform the Levator Scalulae Still-ish technique?

A
  • Pt sitting w/ doc standing behind pt. Start by ABducting the pt’s arm to 180°
  • Provide distraction, ADduction to 90° and finally to 0°
  • Have pt grab the back of table, while doc flexes head toward opposite knee
  • 3 deep breaths and follow fascial release
9
Q

Proper position for SCM CS?

A

F ST RA

10
Q

What is the correct positioning for CS of AC1-AC8?

A
  • AC1 = RA
  • AC2-6 = F SA RA
  • AC7 = F ST RA
  • AC8 = F SA RA
11
Q

How to correctly perform pectorals CS?

A

Adduct arm across midline
