Sore throat, toothache, epistaxis, runny nose, swollen and painful gums, swollen eyes, pain along the course of the channel.

P: full and rapid

TP: Clear heat in the Large Intestine and Stomach, promote body fluids.

Constipation Abdominal distention and pain which is worse for pressure Burning in anus High fever or tidal fever (worse in arvo) Thirst Sweating (esp. on limbs) Vomiting Delirium

T: Thick dry yellow coat and red body (Or brown or black coat if heat is severe)
P: Full and deep

TP: Clear heat in the stomach and large intestine, promote bowel movement.

Constipation Bitty stools Abdominal distension and pain Irritability Aggravated by stress

T: Normal or slightly red on sides
P: Wiry

TP: Move Qi in the large intestine (& resolve liver qi stasis).

P: Deep and tight (deep due to cold holding it down and tight due to the contraction of cold)

TP: Expel cold from the Large Intestine, warm the lower burner
