What are the three genders in Latin?
Masculine, Feminine, Neuter
What are the two numbers in Latin grammar?
Singular and Plural
What is the 1st person singular ending in the present tense?
-o (e.g. video = I see)
What is the 3rd person plural ending in the imperfect tense?
-bant (e.g. videbant = they were seeing)
What is the 1st person plural ending in the perfect tense?
-imus (e.g. pugnavimus = we fought)
What is the 2nd person singular ending in the pluperfect tense?
-eras (e.g. pugnaveras = you had fought)
What are the Latin auxiliary verbs for “want”, “not want”, and “can”?
volo = want, nolo = don’t want, possum = can
What is the Latin infinitive form of “to teach”?
docēre
How do you form a present participle in Latin?
Take the verb stem, drop the –re, add –ns (e.g. laudare → laudans)
