- Autocratic:
Firm but fair. Gives staff clear direction. Motivates through persuasion and feedback - Democratic:
Welcomes feedback from subordinates. Effective and healthy communication. Good listener - Laissez-Fair:
Hands-off approach and allow group to make decisions. Trust and reliance. - Collaborative:
Emphasises cooperation, openness and shared problem solving
Name some management theories
Herzberg’s Two-Factor Theory:
- Motivation is influenced by Hygiene factors (salary, work conditions) and Motivators (achievement, responsibility etc.)
McGregor’s Theory X&Y:
- Theory X assumes workers dislike work and need control
- Theory Y assumes workers are self motivated & seek responsibility
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs:
- Motivational theory using a 5 tiered model of human needs. Bottom up pyramid. Physiological - Safety - Belongingness - Esteem - Self Actualisation
What is a RACI chart?
A tool used to define and clarify roles and responsibilities within a project. Used in Project Management to ensure clear communication and prevent misunderstandings:

A governing document that defines how a project is to be executed, monitored and controlled.
