What is a URL
Uniform resource locator and is the term given to the address of a website
What is a VPN
Virtual private networks enable users to be a part of the LAN network but are located remotely, an internet connection is required

often referred to as simply the cloud, is the delivery of on demand computing resources. (e.g. computer networks, servers, storage, application and service)
What is some personal benefits of the cloud computer

Sharing photos/ videos

Providing security
Professional use for the cloud

Working remotely (public transport)
Software storage (allows for multiple use)
Processing power and storage is shared (local servers and normally limited)
Work collaboration and improving productivity (documents and files are shared) (lets multiple users to change the documents semesterly)
What are some of the security for the cloud
free ones aren’t secure as ones you pay for and if any security lots its the companies fault
Advantages of VPNS
Hides personal data, protects your privacy. allows unrestricted access to the internet
Disadvantage of a VPN
You normally have to pay, use extra data, some countries they are illegal (Belarus, Iraq, North Korea) some website block VPNS
What is a digital community
wide range of digital devices can be used to communicate online and the internet provides us with a variety of communities in which we are able to communicate, EG social media news and feeds

Connect people with similar interests and can invite anyone you want to message.
E.g. Discord, reddit and zoom
Why is it important to have a good user experience whilst having an online community
Better user experience the more likely it is for them to come back or recommended it to other people
Why would an online community need to meet user needs
Some places might go into thinking it has features but instead doesn’t which means that certain things you trying to do doesn’t fit your needs
Why could cost play a role in the online community
Normally free unless if its surrounding a podcast in which you might have to pay to wach it. As well as chatrooms asking for donations to keep the server up
Why is privacy an important role in online communities
privacy hard on the internet with many peoples pfps being their face and the fact that people can openly view your profile and if it isn’t up to be private then that person will have full range of all the posts
How is security important on online community
hacking into accounts is very common. However stuff have been put into place such as 2 step verification which then send a code to phone or email with code to put in. Also a new log in happen you normally notified
