16
Q

Why is coordination an important factor in sport related fitness?

A

How well a person is able to use their senses (hearing/sight etc.) to move their body accurate & smooth

17
Q

Why is Balance an important factor in sport related fitness?

A

Indicates how well a person can stay steady (equilibrium) while stationary & in motion

18
Q

Why is Power an important factor in sport related fitness?

A

Indicates how well/quick a person is able to do work (move with speed and strength)

19
Q

Why is speed an important factor in sport related fitness?

A

Indicates how fast + with accuracy a person can move in a SHORT PERIOD of time

20
Q

What is the Dose response relationship between exercise and rise of Coronary Heart disease

A

Health benefits increase as the dose of physical activity, as your more active your risk for CHD decreases

21
Q

What is the health benefit of improving muscular fitness?

A

Increasing muscle mass improves BMR, because muscle uses more respiration.

22
Q

What is infarction?

A

irreversible tissue death

23
Q

ischemia

A

a lack of blood flow that causes decreased Oxygen flow

24
Q

How are ischemia and infarction linked to risks in PA and CHD/CVD?

A

if an ischemic artery can’t get blood flow over time, causes a myocardial infarction

25
Why is MSI a risk associated with PA and exercise?
its the most common exercise-related injury, linked to how intense the workout is, the type of activity, any existing health issues, or problems with bones, joints, or muscles.
26
What are two other risk associated with PA/exercise similar to MSI but less common till vigorous intensity is initiated?
Sudden Cardiovascular Death and Acute Myocardial infarction
