2
Q

What are core promoter sequences?

A

Found on the promoter region and they bind proteins that facilitate transcription by bringing RNA polymerase to the right place

Q

What are motifs?

A

DNA sequences upstream that dictate which and when genes are transcribed
They bring RNA polymerase to the start of transcription and bind further transcription factors

Q

What is TATA binding protein?
