lecture 16 Flashcards
(4 cards)
1
Q
alpha adrenergic receptors
A
- eyes: dilate
- cardio: constriction of smooth muscle
- gastro: constriction of GI sphinters, decrease rate and strength of smooth muscle contraction
- endo: promote high blood glucose, decrease insulin release
2
Q
beta 1 adrenergic receptors
A
- cardio: increase heart rate and contractile force of heart
- GI: increase secretion of saliva
3
Q
beta 2 adrenergic receptors
A
resp: dilation of bronchial smooth muscle to open airways
GI: decrease motility of smooth muscle
end: increase breakdown of glycogen to glucose
4
Q
muscarinic receptors (M)
A
- eye: constriction
- cardio: slows heart rate, vasodilation of blood vessels
- resp: constriction of bronchial smooth muscle
- GI: increase saliva, motility of smooth muscle, and digestive enzymes
-endo: increase insulin and storage of glycogen
-sweat: increased - renal: contraction of bladder wall
