Construct a frequency distribution

A
  1. Create a frequency table by listing the distinct values of the observations in the first column.
  2. Use tally marks to represent the frequency of each distinct value in the second column.
  3. Count the tally marks and record the total frequency in the third column.

Relative Frequency

A
  1. Relative frequency = frequency / total number of observations.
  2. To calculate, obtain a frequency distribution and divide each frequency by the total number of observations.
