Q

What are the steps of the sodium/potassium pump?

A
  1. Sodium/potassium pump produces tension by ionic imbalance.
  2. Sodium channels open sequentially.
  3. Sodium moves back in.
  4. Axon terminal calcium influx, releases neurotransmitter into synapse.
  5. Neurotransmitter interacts with receptor
  6. Process starts over in the next neuron.
