What does panoptic control entail?

A
  1. Making people constantly visible “visibility is a trap”
  2. Individualization: no lateral lines of site; everyone is seen individually; in their own cells and cannot talk to each other
  3. organization of power is depersonalized: anyone can take the job of the security guard (differs from feudalism)
  4. power is visible and unverifiable|
  5. according to foofoo, power is “continuous” and “permanent”
