What was the basis of Marxism Leninism
The Dictatorship of the proletariat, a central committee would rule for the workers until the workers were ready to take over themselves

NEP - temporary capitalism to reduce famine and end war communism as to protect the Bolsheviks power after unrest caused by grain requisition

Peoples council of commissars, the communist version of the council of ministers set up by Lenin
What was the politburo
A minority number of elites elected by the sovnarkom, they were a small group of cadres supposedly democratically elected.

The abolishment of press freedom to remove ‘counter revolutionaries’ meant people could not oppose the Bolshevik party publicly.

Lost the November election in 1917, claimed they were rigged and then took power anyway
Trotsky opposed the signings of Brest Litovsk but Lenin put rest to the opposition by claiming the war would be over soon
