1469 - started apprenticeship with an artist in Florence
1478 - became an independent master artist in Florence
1482 - began working for the Duke of Milan
1499 - returned to Florence & began working for Cesare Borgia
1513-1516 - worked in Rome for Pope Julius II & continued work on paintings
1517-1519 - moved to France & serves as a court artist for King Francis I.
1519 (2 May) - died in France
