These are satilites that are 200 to 1000KM in the atmosphere. They travel past the north and south poles on there way around and our used for global weather monotoring.

A
This is a satilite that orbits the earth from east to west in a time span of 24 hours and are used for telecomunication and networks.

What is a low earth orbit satilite?
A
The low earth orbit satilite or LEO satilite orbits the earth in under 128 minutes and is mainly used for crew missions by nasa,hardware testing and exploreration.
