What is the main cell in the Hypothalamus?
Neurosecretory Cells
What does the Anti Dieuretic Hormone (ADH) control + and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
It controls the kidney for urination and is on the posterior side
What does the Oxytocin (OXT) Hormone control and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
It controls the female Mammary gland, utertine smooth muscle and the male prostate gland. It is on the posterior side.
What does the Growth Hormone (GH) control and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
It stems from the liver and controls the growth of long bones and muscles. it is on the anterior side
What does prolactin (PRL) control and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
Controls the mammary gland for milk production and is on the anterior side
What does the Thyroid Stimulating hormone control (TSH) and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
Controls the thyroid gland for metabolism and is on the anterior side
What does the adrenpcorticotrophin releasing hormone (ACTH) control and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
Controls the adrenal gland on top of the kidney and is on the anterior side
What does the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) control and what side of the pituitary gland is it on?
It controls the production within the male and female reproductive systems and is on the anterior side

Involved in production of testosterone and estrogen and is on the anterior side
What are the three layers of the adrenal cortex?
- Zona glemerulosa- minerals and water
- Zona fasculata- effects glucose in blood stream
- Zona reticularis- effects sex hormone
What does the adrenal cortex produce?
corticosteroids
What does the adrenal medulla produce?
Catecholamines
What cells does the pancreas produce?
Ancinar cells
