“The Buddha enters the village for alms”

“There is (hoti) omniscience (sabbaññutañāṇa) to/for the
Buddha (buddhassa)” (i.e. “The Buddha possesses omniscience”)
namo buddhassa
“Honor to the Buddha!”
buddhassa svāgataṃ
“Welcome to the Buddha!”
purisassa bhojanaṃ ruccati
lit.“To/for the man, food is pleasant”, which means “The man likes food”
purisassa buddho pātubhavati
lit. “To the man, the Buddha manifests”, i.e. “The Buddha appears to the man”
buddhassa paṭisuṇāti
“Replies (in assent) to the Buddha”
buddhassa āroceti
“Informs the Buddha” (lit. “Communicates to the Buddha”)
buddhaṃ āmanteti
“Addresses the Buddha” “Talks to the Buddha”
piyo devānaṃ
“Dear to the gods”
alaṃ nibbānāya
“Enough for nibbāna” (i.e. something is sufficient in order to attain nibbāna, here alaṃ is an adverb).
buddhassa dānaṃ demi
“I give an offering to the Buddha”
buddhānaṃ lobho n’ atthi
“There is no greed for the buddhas”
(i.e. The buddhas do not have greed)
nibbānāya paccayo hoti
“It is a condition for nibbāna”
nagarānaṃ dhanaṃ deti
“Gives wealth to the cities”
desetvā
“having taught”
buddho dhammaṃ desetvā gāmaṃ gacchati
“The Buddha, having taught the Dhamma, goes to the village”
buddho dhammaṃ desetvā, gāmaṃ gantvā, rukkhaṃ passati
“The Buddha, having taught the Dhamma, having gone to the village, sees a tree”
buddho gāmaṃ gantvā purisānaṃ dhammaṃ desetvā saggaṃ gacchati
“The Buddha, having gone to the village, having taught the Dhamma to the men, goes to Heaven”
samaṇo brāhmaṇo vā
“ascetic or brahmin”
bhāsati vā karoti vā
“either speaks or acts”
puthujjano pi dhammaṃ payirupāsati
“Even the ordinary person (puthujjana) respects the Dhamma”
buddho samaṇānaṃ pi brāhmaṇānaṃ pi dhammaṃ deseti
“The Buddha teaches the Dhamma to ascetics as well as to
Brahmins”
