26
yesterday
27
This morning, this afternoon, this evening, etc
The is used instead of this so.... This morning: Maten an This afternoon: Aprèmidi a This evening: Aswè a
28
Nwit vs swa
Nwit means night but is changed to swa in two circumstances 1. When modified like when you say bon swa instead of bon nwit 2. When specifying night as a specific time not a general idea Ex: last night: Yè swa or tomorrow night: Demen swa
29
Mwa
month
30
How to indicate past tense
In Creole, verbs DO NOT change to indicate tense changes. Instead a tense marker is added before the verb and the verb stays the same. Ex: He eats is Li manje BUT he ate is li te manje I dance with her is Mwen danse avè'l, BUT I danced with her is Mwen te danse avè'l
