LHS Portfolio and Legacy Flashcards
(34 cards)
How is the market segmented for the Liner Hanger System portfolio by application?
The market is segmented by ‘Cemented’ and ‘Uncemented’ applications.
Name all the Liner Top Packers in our portfolio.
The PV-0, PV-3, and EPV-3 Liner Top Packers.
All tested to 10,000 psi (No axial loading) at 400 Deg F with Aflas and 325 with HNBR. All with new anti-swab design capable of withstanding 15 BPM. All with integral hold down slips except the EPV-3.
What are the colors of the Back up Rings of the PV-3 and PV-0 Packers?
V3 is GREEN, V0 is BLUE.
Name the different Hydraulic Liner Hangers in our portfolio and their differentiators.
HPS-II/HCHR: T-SLOTS Pocket Slips, Anti Pre-set feature, Anti Left Hand Rotation feature, Hydraulic Cylinder, Rotating while cementing (Rotational bearings).
Name the different Hydraulic Liner Hangers in our portfolio and their differentiators cont’d.
HPS/HCH: Regular Pocket Slips (HPS), T-SLOTS Pocket Slips (HCH), Anti Pre-set feature, Anti Left Hand Rotation feature, Non-Rotating while cementing.
Name the different Hydraulic Liner Hangers in our portfolio and their differentiators cont’d.
HCDC/HSDB: Non-Rotating Hydraulic Set (While RIH and Cementing), Casing Body (Cone Pads Welded), Solid Body (Cone Pads Machined), Also available in single Cone Pads.
Name the different Mechanical Liner Hangers in our portfolio and their differentiators.
RPSM: Rotating Pocket Slip Mechanical Hanger (Rotates while cementing but not while RIH), Pocket Slip design.
EZRD: Non-Rotating Mechanical set (While RIH/Cementing), Cone Pads and ‘J’ Lugs are welded. SBRD: Non-Rotating Mechanical set (While RIH/Cementing), Cone Pads and ‘J’ Lugs are machined.
List the 3 different LH systems we have from basic to advanced.
LHS-Basic: TBR EPV-3 EZRD LINER C LC FC FS. LHS-Intermediate: TBR PV-3 HPS LINER BCLC FC FS. LHS-Advanced: TBR PV-0 HPS-II LINER BCLC FC RS.
What is a Hold Down Assembly?
Hold Down Device is required for short liners.
Hydraulically set, Mechanically Pulled to release.
What is a Tie-Back Seal Nipple?
It seals inside an already existing TBR, with the Tie-Back string above it is used to cover intermediate casing worn by drilling or corrosion.
List the features and benefits of a Tie-Back Seal Nipple?
• Locator threaded to match Tie-Back Liner/Casing
• Various types of seal materials available to match well conditions: Viton and aramid are standard materials.
• Mule shoe aids in entry and re-entry into TBR.
Name the different parts that make up a Tie-Back Seal Nipple?
• Body
• Locator
• Lock Rings
• V-Packings
• Half Mule Shoe
What does DCB stand for and what is its function?
Drillable Cement Bushing – Serves the same function as an RCB (Retrievable Cement Bushing), but must be drilled out to provide full support to have unrestricted access to the liner.
If it serves the same function as the RCB, when is one used and not the other?
The DCB: Drillable Cementing Bushing is used with Large Liner sizes. The RCB for the Smaller liner sizes.
What is the function of the Landing Collar (LC)?
The Landing Collar acts as a seat and latch for the Liner Wiper Plugs/Cement Plugs. Acts as a back up for Float Shoe/Collar when the plug latches and seals.
When is the Landing Collar used?
It is used when a mechanical Running Tool is used to set a Mechanical Liner Hanger or when a RBS is installed in the Running Tool Assembly.
List the features and/or benefits of the Landing Collar (LC)?
• Acts as a back up for Float Shoe/Collar when the plug latches and seals.
• Acts as seat and latch for the cement plugs
• All internal parts are PDC drillable
• Threaded or cement inserts.
• Anti-rotation feature for fast drill out.
• Premium connections available.
What is the function of the BCLC?
Ball Catch Landing Collar is a Landing Collar with a Ball Seat.
What is the function of the Ball Catch Landing Collar (LC)?
Acts as a seat and latch for the Liner Wiper Plug but also has a ball seat for setting balls of hydraulic set equipment.
When is a BCLC used?
It is used when a hydraulic set device is used.
What is the Orifice Float Collar?
Is a Float Collar with “orifice” ports for self filling and to prevent pressure lock.
What are the features and benefits of an Orifice Float Collar in a Tie-Back?
• Reduces lost rig time and drilling fluid allowing the Tie-Back Liner/Casing to fill while RIH.
• The Orifice Ports prevents pressure lock as the Tie-Back Seal Nipple is stabbed into the TBR. Displaced fluids flow through the ports.
• All internal parts are PDC drillable
• Single Poppet Valve standard.
Name the different types of Float Shoes and Collar available?
• Float Shoes: Cement nose standard, reamer, bladed bottom. Single or dual poppet valve versions available.
• Float Collars: Standard Float Collar, Orifice Float Collar (Tie Back).
What is a Setting Sleeve/Adapter?
A setting sleeve is a component that provides the profile or a profile through which a Running Tool can be connected to Liner Hanger System. The colossus sleeve is an integral part of the mandrel.
