What is a licence for alteration?
A
- A document which details the approved works a tenant may undertake to a leased property and any conditions associated with undertaking such works.

How would you undertake a licence for alteration?
A
- Request the tenant submit the written application to include description of works, relevant specifications and drawings.
- Review the lease and relevant documentation to determine what works the tenant is entitled to undertake.
- Review the lease and relevant documentation to determine timeframes to reviewing and responding to tenant applications to alter.
- Review the written application and determine if third party input is required.
- Revert back with an ‘RFI Schedule’ including a third party consultant ‘RFI Schedule’.
- Once approved, issue a stamp-approved pack of alteration documentation to the relevant party (normally solicitor or property manager).
- Undertake final inspection if included within the fee quote.
