A

on palms and
skin lesions appearing at the site of trauma)

purple,
pruritic,
papular,
polygonal rash on flexor surfaces

polygonal rash - white-lines’ pattern on the surface (Wickham’s striae)

Management of Lichenoid / lichen planus.

A

topical steroids

benzydamine mouthwash or spray is recommended for oral lichen planus

lichen planus may require oral steroids or immunosuppression

clinical features of lichen sclerosis

A

excoriated depigmented patch
itchy white spots typically seen on the vulva of elderly women

Exam questions will often involve an elderly female and the lesion appearing on the vulva.

important to note that it may happen in other areas, such as the thighs and anal region. In males, it usually affects the glans penis, in which case it is called balanitis xerotica obliterans.
