Q

Why is cutting out any nutrient from your diet bad for you?

A

Cutting out any nutrient from your diet is bad for you because your body needs all the nutrients to function properly

22
Q

What are the four types of animal communication?

A

The four types of animal communication are sound, sight, chemicals, and touch

23
Q

How is ATP made in muscles when you lack enough oxygen?

A

ATP is made in muscles when you lack enough oxygen through lactic acid fermentation

24
Q

What is the alteration of generations in plants?

A

The alteration of generations in plants is the repeating cycle of gametophyte and sporophyte structures

24
What is an angiosperm?
An angiosperm is a plant that produces flowers and fruits
25
List all the types of invertebrates
The types of invertebrates are sponges, cnidarians, worms, echinoderms, mollusks, and arthropods, which includes insects, crustaceans, and chelicerates
26
List every type of reptile
The types of reptiles are snakes and lizards, crocodiles and alligators, and turtles
27
List all parts of the circulatory system
The parts of the circulatory system are the heart, arteries, veins, capillaries, valves, blood, and the lungs
28
What type of metamorphosis does not use a pupa stage?
Incomplete metamorphosis does not use a pupa stage
29
What type if tissue is used to support and protect the rest of the body?
Connective tissue is used to support and protect the rest of the body
30
List the functions of skin
The functions of the skin are sensation, protection, temperature regulation, and the making of vitamin D
31
What is the subcutaneous layer?
The subcutaneous layer is the layer below the dermis that is not a part of the skin
32
What creates red blood cells in the human body?
Bone marrow creates red blood cells in the human body
33
What are involuntary?
Involuntary muscles are muscles that are not controlled at will
34
What organ overlaps between the muscular system and circulatory system?
The organ that overlaps between the muscular system and circulatory system is the heart
35
What is blood made up of?
Blood is made up of plasma, white blood cells, platelets, and red blood cells
36
List the parts of the respiratory system from start to end: lungs, larynx, bronchi, and trachea
The parts if the respiratory from start to end are the larynx, the trachea, the bronchi, and the lungs
37
What is another name for leaked plasma?
Another name for leaked plasma is lymph
38
What in the circulatory system prevents backflow?
Valves prevent backflow in the circulatory system
39
Where does blood enter the heart and what chamber allows blood to leave the heart?
Blood enters the heart through the right atrium, passes to the right ventricle, moves to the pulmonary arteries, and to the lungs, returns through the pulmonary veins and enters the left atrium, and goes to the left ventricle, which is the chamber that allows blood to leave the heart
40
List all nutrients required in the body?
All the nutrients required in the body are carbohyrdrates, fats, minerals, vitamins, proteins, and water
41
What system(s) overlap with the excretory system?
The systems that overlap with the excretory system are the respiratory and integumentary system
42
What filters blood in the kidney?
Nephrons filter blood in the kidneys
43
What organs are connected to the 9m alimentary canal?
The organs that are connected to te 9m alimentary canal are the salivary glands, the esophagus, the stomach, the small intestine, the pancreas, the liver, the gallbladder, villi, the colon, and the rectum
44
Where do villi absorb nutrients and from what?
Villi absorb nutrients in the small intestines from digested food
45
What is used to calculate the amount of energy food can give the human body?
Calories are used to calculate the amount of energy food can give the human body
46
Explain the differences between complete and incomplete metamorphosis
The differences between complete and incomplete metamorphosis are simple. Complete metamorphosis are includes the pupa stage in which the body of the animal transforms. Incomplete metamorphosis has nymph stages instead of the pupa stage, which are smaller versions of the adult
47
Analyze why the lymphatic system is important for the rest of the body to function
The lymphatic system is important for the rest of the body to function because it defends the body from diseases. Your lymphatic system cleanses lymph from pathogens and your lymph nodes filter out dead cells, bacteria, viruses, and other particles from the lymph so it can go back into the bloodstream
48
Compare learned behavior with innate behavior
Learned behavior and innate behavior are really different. Innate behavior is the behavior that an animal is born with, such as instincts and reflexes, while learned behaviors are simple behaviors that are learned. This includes imprinting and distinguishing danger
49
Determine and explain what the difference is between nourishment in and egg and in the womb
Internal and external nourishment are similar, but also very different from each other. In an egg, the offspring is nourished by the yolk inside the shell. When internal development occurs, the offspring gets nutrients from the placenta, which is connected to the mother.
50
Explain how one thing demonstrates Godly desing rather than evolution
Do you believe in evolution in animals? I am going to show you how animals are a part of God's design. Zoologists are the scientists that study animals. They study the things that proves God's creation and design. This is why I believe in God's creation. Animals (and humans) are made from complex systems with cells, tissues, organs, and systems. This already shows an example of God's creation. Animals were not made from single-celled creatures; it's just not possible. God made animals with all their complex systems so they can live and function properly. Even the fact that animals have senses show how complex animals are. It is a clear example of God's wonderful creation. Animal bodies have to have so many different parts just to have senses. In conclusion, animals are just too complex to be made by random chance. It took God six days to create everything (seven including His rest day), not billions of years from evolution. All life was created by God for a purpose. God made animals to function properly, not slowly developing new limbs and other structures/features over time. Animals were created, and they did not evolve over millions or billions of years.
