Q

Last flight of the day checks

A

Only if landing at main mtce base:

WAI ON for 30sec towards the end of CRZ, prior to TOD.

If HI PR fault appears: WAI OFF & ON again, check no caution for 10sec.
If it does come on again, check again on DES.
After successful reset EXAM msg “THRUST LIM PENALTY” wil be there till after landing. No actual penalty applies in this case.

17
Q

High Speed descent considerations

A

Either selected speed or Open DES until below ~FL260 and safe margin from VMO

18
Q

Visual Slope Guidance U/S - considerations

A

• Check isn’t specified as essential in OM2A
• Review obstacle/terrain data
• EGPWS must be serviceable
• Check JSS > FLIGHT > APPROACH SLOPE GUIDANCE for the table to see if you can depart to somewhere without it

19
Q

FO approach minima

A

Within 200’ / 2km of approach minima
CAPT must be PF.

20
Q

Circuit Breaker Policy

A

Don’t inflight unless Capt deems safety issue.
CAUTION: Don’t reset tripped fuel pump breakers.
If necessary:
- 2min cool down is recommended
- 1 reset only
- MTCE Watch via JOCC & Duty Pilot should be consulted (time permitting)

21
Q

Pack flow selection pax numbers

A

141 - 320
168 - 321neo

22
Q

When will the ACT fuel transfer start on the NEO?

A

30min after gear up
Stops if centre tank reaches 5.75t until it is <5t

23
Q

When do we hard tune RNP?

A

RNP/RNAV or ICAO RNP(AR) [that’s basically all except NZQN]
Navaid overlay approaches also set to 0.3

PRO NOR JSS INSTRUMENT FLIGHT P7-14/14

24
Q

Scott Plane’s fuel range rules of thumb

A

320
AEO - 180nm/t
OEI - 145nm/t
DP - 125nm/t

321 CEOs
Subtract 20nm from ALL

321 NEOs
No idea, haven’t worked it out yet

25
Q

How many bags does a ULD hold?

A

40 according to Simon Close but not written anywhere.
Relevant to 321 loading instructions

26
Q

What RWY condition code do you use for a wet runway in Flysmart

A

5 - Good

As long as it’s not +SHRA, then it would be 2

27
Q

If Heavy rain is reported/observed what RWY Condition Code do you use?

A

RCC 2 - Medium-Poor

PRO-NOR-JSS-GENERAL-ADVERSE WEATHER

28
Q

Sterile Flight deck applies when:

A

Last door closed to belts sign off

Transition (or FL100 if higher) until arrived at the terminal

JSS-GENERAL-STERILE FLIGHT DECK POLICY

29
Q

No contact period for cabin crew to flight deck

A

Start of TO roll to gear up
Gear down to landing roll complete

JSS GENERAL STERILE FLIGHT DECK POLICY

30
Q

Definition of severe ice accretion

A

accumulation of 5mm or more

31
Q

When do we use rain repellant

A

only in moderate to heavy rain and we dont really use it even then. It was supposed to be getting phased out of our ACFT

32
Q

When must ENG ANTI-ICE be ON?

A

in icing conditions except on climb/cruise below -40 SAT

33
Q

When must Wing Anti-Ice be turned ON

A

evidence of ice eccretion on visual indicators or wipers.
NOTE: this will reduce your descent angle, you’ll need to increase speed or extent UP TO HALF speedbrakes

34
Q

How do you discontinue an approach above the FCU go around ALT?

A

Announce “CANCEL APPROACH”
Press the APPR/LOC pb if on ILS/LOC or FINAL APP
Select and adjust Lateral mode, then Vertical, then speed as required
The FPL will have no final destination anymore so youll have to select a random WPT, do a LET REV and redifine the NEW DEST field.

35
Q

How soon after landing should brake fans be turned on?

A

5min after landing or approaching the gate

36
Q

How many brake applictaions will the accumulator allow

A

at least 7 full applications

DESC 32 30 10 p5/6

37
Q

When does WIN “Parking Brake Setting - Check the pressure” say using chocks instead of park brakes is more critical

A

Above 500°/350° (fans off/on)
