mainly in human liver

have different strains between different hosts

Sheep strain - between sheep(intermediate) and dogs important - can be zoonotic

Horse strain - donkeys/mules at intermediate and dogs as final - hunt kennels - not zoonotic

Intermediate: rodents ( can be human)

hatching requires light and water

sporocyst and redia - asexual multiplication

cercaria - motile in environment

about 6-7 weeks in snail

ppp=8-12 weeks

patent for 9 months in cattle, more in sheep
