promote equality and diversify- don’t use discriminatory language,challenge discrimination, do not patronise patients and meet individuals needs

maintain confidentiality- lock all cabinets and drawer, put passwords on all computers, all information should be stored away safely and no members of staff should speak about an individual unless necessary
