A
- cheap
- quick to administer and answer
- can reach a large group of people (quickly)
- are online and so they can be analysed
- reveals age, gender and location which are good for initiatives

what are the disadvantages of surveys?
A
- people may not tell the truth
- people may feel uncomfortable answering questions that are related to physical activity
- people may not take the survey seriously
- people may miss the question out (mess with averages/result)
- people may misunderstand a question

what is a benchmark?
A
- used to grade the success of sports clubs
- clubmark accreditation indicates that the sports club is run well and is awarded to local clubs
- clubmark accreditation allows a club to: have an increased membership, attract more funding, develop coaches, be an indicator to parents that the club is safe, be run effectively, have continued improvement, improve player performance
- to achieve a clubmark, clubs have to be graded against 4 key areas: activities, care, management and community
