Lignocaine Hydrochloride 2%
Adrenaline 1:80000
Onset = 1-4mins
Duration = 1-2.5hrs for infil, 3-4hrs for major nerve block
Contains metabisulphides, therefore, beware of patients who are asthmatic or allergic to sulphides. Also it is amide type, beware of patients allergic to amides.

Consist of 50g lignocaine base (amide type)
Action takes 3-5mins to occur.
Lasts 15-20mins.

Mepivacaine
Onset is 3-5mins
Duration is 20-60mins pulpal, 160-180 soft tissue.
Max dose in children 6-14 = 1.35mL, do not exceed 2.7. And 1.8mL for 3-6yrs old.
2 types in clinic. Blue band = mepivacaine hydrochloride 3%
bronze band = mepivacaine hydrochloride 2% with levonordefrin

A

Is a eutectic mixture that changes from liquid (at rt) to a gel (at body temp) and cannot be washed away with water. It is used for deep debridement/scaling or periodontal probing.
It contains 2.5% lignocaine and 2.5% Prilocaine.
Intrasulcular injection
More effect than topical and less than LA
Onset = 30sec, duration = 10-20mins
Max 5cRtridges.
