Q

KU: ams is not very good at local representation because there are 8 msps for each area instead of only 1. This makes a two tier system where most Scottish people will only know their constituency msp but not the 7 regional ones. Which isn’t fair

Q

A: this is important because it means that regional msps aren’t as accountable and they might try to focus on getting higher positions on the party list rather than looking out for their constituents. KU: fptp is good at local representation because it has smaller constituencies. This means that the single mp gets to know their constituency very well and they’re also more well known by the community for if they have any problems.
