Lower Limb / Foot Muscles Flashcards

1
Q

Which muscle? Innervation? Blood supply? Action

A

Fibularis Longus. Everts and weakly plantarflexes ankle. Helps steady foot when standing
Proximal attachment - superior 2/3 of lateral fibula
Distal attachment - base of 1st metatarsal and medial cuneiforms
Superficial fibular nerve (L5/S1)
Perforating branches of anterior tibial and peforating arteries of fibular artery
