Non-Hodgkins (85% vs 15%)
Both more prevalent in males in white race.
What are the risk factors?
Genetics (Family History, Lynch)
Autoimmune (IBD, Psoriasis)
Immunosuppression (SOT, TNFa, Biologics)
Infection (EBC, H Pylori, HHV-8)
Radiation & Chemical Exposure (Ionizing Radiation, Pesticides, Herbicides)
What is Lymphoma?
Neoplasms originate in the lymphoid organs.
What are the signs and symptoms of Lymphoma?
B Symptoms(Fever, Night Sweats, Wt loss >10%)
Lymphadenopathy
Non-Descript (Fatigue, Recurrent Infection)
May mimic other cancers, depending on site of involvement
Lab Abnormalities (SCr, Uric Acid, LDH)
What are the specific symptoms for hodgkin lymphoma?
Alcohol Intolerance
Pruritic
Chronic Cough
What type of imaging is needed in the initial work up for lymphoma?
PET/CT Scan with and without contrast to chest, abdomen, and pelvis.
