(11 cards)

1
Q

What is voltage?

A

Voltage is the measure of the difference in electrical charge between two points. It is essentially ‘electrical pressure’ and is the force that moves the electrons through the circuit.

What is resistance?

A

Electrical resistance is the opposition to flow of an electric current and is a measure of how much energy is required to cause the current to flow. It is measured in ohms.

Q

What is conductance?

A

A measure of how effectively current is conducted.
High resistance=Low conductance
Low resistance=High conductance

Q

What is electron flow?

A

In metals, only negative charges flow, therefore they flow from negative to positive, the opposite to conventional flow.
