Male Genital Flashcards
(8 cards)
Large anaplastic cells with indistinct cell borders, angry looking hyperchromatic nucleus with nucleoli
Embryonal Carcinoma
Lace like network of cuboidal cells; schiller-duval bodies; Eosinophilic hyaline-like globules in and outside cytoplasm
Yolk sac tumor
Sheets of small cuboidal cells capped by large eosinophilic syncytial cells containing multiple, pleomorphic nuclei
Choriocarcinoma
Foci of multiple type of tissues such as cartilage, epithelium and nerve
Mature Teratoma
Large to polygonal cells with oval nucleus, deeply acidophilic granular cytoplasm, reinke crystals
Leydig cell tumor
Neoplastic seminiferous tubules contain only large pale sertoli cells and visible calcifications in the lumen; adjacent normal tubules seen
Sertoli cell tumor
Made up of more than one tumor type. Typical combinations include choriocarcinoma/embryonal carcinoma/immature teratoma/yolk sac tumor
Mixed tumor
Uniform, round cells with distinct cell membrane; clear cytoplasm, central Nucleus with prominent nucleoli; Lymphocytic infiltration.
