Q

What principles are used in carrying out the technique?

A

addressing base strength is fundamental prior to completing endurance, speed, power or skill components

factors that affect the force a muscle can produce: recruitment, age, when pennation increases, the CSA increases, gender, stability, fibre types and stability

overload until fatigue

be specific to the muscle, type of contraction, functional activity and pt.

use it or lose it.

rest periods between sets and sessions

need to consider what equipment is going to be used

Q

What do we need to consider about the type of contraction?
