24
Q

Line plots are…

25
Stem and Leaf Plots are...
Numerical
26
Circle graphs are...
Categorical
27
Bar graphs/ double bar graphs are...
categorical
28
Histograms are...
Numerical
29
What are the 2 types of data
Categorical and Numerical
30
What do bar graphs do?
Show the numbers of items in specific categories (categorical)
31
What do Box whisker plots do?
show measures of variations for a set of data (Large sets of data)
32
What do circle graphs do?
Compare parts of data to the whole (categorical)
33
Double bar graph job...
Compare 2 sets of categorical data.
34
Histogram job...
To show the frequency of data divided into equal intervals.
35
What is the function of a line graph?
To show change over a period of time.
36
What is the function of a line plot?
To show frequency of data with a number line.
37
What type of data use scatter plots?
Numerical
38
What is the function of the stem and leaf plot?
To organize data based on digits, often used for data sets with repetition.
39
What is the definition of Sample space?
Set of possible outcomes in an experiment.
40
What is a compound event?
An event made up of 2 simple events.
41
What are simple events?
An event with only one possible outcome. ex-flip coin
42
Independent event
Doesn't change the next event. Ex. I have 2 green and 4 blue marbles What are the chances she pulls a blue marble puts it back and pulls another blue marble. 1/4 (since not replaced) 1/4 again then add them up so 2/8 = 1/4.
43
Dependent event
Changes the next event. ex. There were 2 green 4 blue marbles in a bag. What is the probability of her pulling a blue marble not putting it back then pulling another blue marble. First pick 1/4. The next one since there are only three blue marbles now the second one would be 1/3 then add them, so 7/12
44
Mean is also known as the...
Average
45
How do you find the range
Highest #- Smallest#
46
In box plots how do you find Q1 and Q3
The middle of the half with the median so, 12345 the median is 3. the middle of 1 and 3 is 2, so that is Q1 same with other side for Q3. But if it is 1234 the median is in between 2 and 3 or 2.5. S the numbers next are no exact number it is 1 and 2. So, you find the average-ish of the 2 #s 1+2=3, then 3 divided by 2 which is 1.5.
47
What do you have to do fist in order to begin working a data set?
Put it in order least to greatest.
48
Same slope but different y-intercept is...
No solution
49
Same slope and same y-intercept is...
Infinitely many solutions
50
How do you find the arc length of a partial circle?
you find the circumference of the circle then multiply it by how much of the circle you have like 25% of it etc.
