Q

How do you calculate Mann Whitney U?

A

Mann Whitney-U- Step 1- Rank Values
Step 2- Add up rank sum for both.
Step 3- Count number of IV cases
Step 4- Use formula U1=N1Xn2 + n(n+1)/2
Step 5- Identify Smaller/Minimum Value
Step 6- Identify critical value (Larger/equal to value means alternative hypothesis accepted)

How to calculate Spearman’s Row

A

Spearman’s Row
Step 1- Rank Values
Step 2- Calculate difference between ranks
Step 3- Square differences and add them all up
Step 4- Use formula 6Ed2/n(n-1)
Step 5- Use critical values, significance is equal to or less than Critical Value

Q

How do you conduct Chi-squared test?

A

Chi-Squared
Step 1- Use formula- (Total of Row x Total of column)/overall total
Tip- Can subtract value from row/column total to find out other value
Step 2- Use formula for all values (O-E)2 / E
Step 3- Find DF (Number of rows – 1 x Number of columns -1)
Step 4- Critical Values (Value must be greater or equal to , in order to be significant)
